Crocodile Beaten to Death by Locals After It Killed 10-Year-Old Boy
In a shocking incident, a crocodile was beaten to death by a group of people in Bihar's Vaishali district after it attacked and fatally wounded a 14-year-old boy who was bathing in the river.
The incident took place when Dharmendra Das, a resident of Gokulpur under the Biddupur police jurisdiction, and his family visited the banks of the Ganga River for a religious ceremony.

The incident happened when Dharmendra's young son, 10-year-old Ankit, approached the river to collect water for the ritual and was suddenly attacked by the crocodile.
The child's cries for help alerted his family members, who rushed to his aid in an attempt to rescue him. Tragically, their valiant efforts proved futile, and Ankit succumbed to the relentless attack by the crocodile.
In a state of anguish and anger, locals swiftly gathered near the river and set up a fish net to capture the reptile. Once the crocodile was in the net, an enraged mob proceeded to pull it out of the water, subjecting it to a brutal and violent beating. The crowd used sticks to assault the creature, while some individuals expressed their fury by hurling footwear at it.
Authorities have expressed their condemnation of the incident, emphasizing the importance of maintaining law and order even in the face of such tragic circumstances. They have urged the public to refrain from taking matters into their own hands and to promptly report wildlife-related incidents to the appropriate authorities, ensuring swift and appropriate action.
Meanwhile, investigations are underway, and authorities have assured the public that appropriate measures will be taken against those involved in the killing of the crocodile.
