Crisis-Hit Go First Cancels Flights Till June 9
Cash-strapped airline Go First on Tuesday said that it has extended the cancellation of all flights until June 9, citing "operational reasons." Initially, the airline had suspended flight operations until June 7, 2023.
The decision comes as Go First is currently undergoing voluntary insolvency resolution proceedings.

"We regret to inform that due to operational reasons, Go First flights scheduled till June 9, 2023, have been cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellations," stated the airline. It assured affected passengers that full refunds will be issued to the original mode of payment in the near future.
Acknowledging the disruption caused to travel plans, the Wadia-group owned airline expressed its commitment to providing necessary assistance. It also informed passengers that the company has applied for immediate resolution and revival of operations. Go First expressed optimism about resuming bookings shortly.
Having operated for over 17 years, Go First filed for voluntary insolvency resolution proceedings with the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on May 2. The plea was subsequently admitted on May 10. On Monday, the airline sought approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to recommence flights with a fleet of 22 aircraft for the next five months.
