Cow Vigilante in Thane District Kidnapped and Brutally Assaulted
A 30-year-old cow vigilante from Kalyan in Thane district was kidnapped and assaulted by two men, police reported on Wednesday. The incident occurred around 9:30 am on Tuesday when the victim was forcibly taken from his car and placed into an auto-rickshaw. He was then transported to a location on the Govind Wadi bypass road where he was severely beaten.

Accusations and Assault
The attackers verbally abused the victim, accusing him of informing the police about a pickup truck transporting beef, which led to the vehicle's seizure. After the assault, the victim was moved to another vehicle and dropped near a flower market in the Patripool area.
Police Investigation
Police have identified the accused as Aslam Mulla and his brother Sam. Efforts are underway to apprehend them. An FIR has been registered against the duo under sections 1372 for kidnapping, 1181 for voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means, 352 for intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of peace, 3513 for criminal intimidation, and 35 for criminal act done by several persons in furtherance of a common intention of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The victim, described as a gau rakshak cow vigilante in the FIR, was taken to a hospital for treatment following the attack. Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
