A couple has been arrested on Thursday by the Hyderabad Police for beheading a baby giral as part of a human sacrifice ritual. The incident happened suring the super blue blood moon' on January 31.
The incident came to light when the head of the baby girl was found on the terrace of the accused identified as Kerukonda Rajasekhar, a cab driver, in Hyderabad's Uppal area on February 1.
It is learnt that the accused had abducted the baby girl when she was asleep beside her parents on a footpath.
After completing the rituals, he took the head in a bag to his home to perform black magic and her torso to the Musi river near Prathapsingaram where he dumped it.
He then kept the severed head to the terrace and kept it in the south-west corner under the lunar eclipse moonlight and the rising sun.
An FIR has been registered and investigation is underway.
