Counting of votes for UP bypolls tomorrow

"Counting for 11 seats of Vidhan Sabha and one seat of Lok Sabha will be held tomorrow," an election commission official said here. Around 53 per cent votes were polled in the bye-elections to 11 Assembly seats and one Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh on September 13 amid elaborate security arrangements. Around 56.4 per cent votes were polled in Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat where Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and his MP wife Dimple Yadav also cast their votes, while on an average 53.18 per cent votes were polled in 11 assembly seats.
The voting sealed the fate of 118 candidates for 11 assembly seats and 18 for one Lok Sabha seat. There were 57,62,249 electorates in these 12 seats, including Mainpuri.
