Corrupt are coming together on one stage: PM Modi jabs Opposition
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on Congress saying that the parliamentary elections after the 1984 riots saw a huge majority for the grand old party.

Speaking at the inaugural of the newly constructed BJP Central Office (Extension) in Delhi, PM Modi said "Across the length and breadth of India, the BJP is the only pan-India political party. Among the family-run political parties, BJP is a political party which gives opportunities to the youth. We have the blessings of the women of India."
He called the Bharatiya Janata Party the "most futuristic party of India" and recalled the "tireless and continuous journey" of going from 2 to 303 Lok Sabha seats.
PM Modi also launched a scathing attack on Congress by raking up the issues of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and Emergency.
"Elections after the 1984 riots saw a huge majority for the Congress party. It was an emotionally charged atmosphere and in that storm, we were almost wiped out. However, we never lost hope. We worked on the ground and strengthened our organization," PM Modi said.
"Our constitutional institutions are our foundation, and therefore our very foundation is being targeted and defamed to stop the development of India. Conspiracies are being hatched to end their credibility of our institutions," the prime minister said.
"In the last 9 years, the BJP ran a campaign against corruption, which has rattled the corrupt Opposition. Whenever BJP comes to power, it causes a big blow to corruption," PM Modi said.
"All those deep in corruption are coming together on one stage. Some parties have started 'Bhrashtachari Bachao Abhiyan'. We will not bow down by the false allegations by the Opposition. Many attempts were made to uproot BJP but all failed. They tired a lot to put me behind bars but failed every time," PM Modi added.
Stepping up attack on Opposition for questioning the credibility of central agencies and courts, the PM said, "Credibility of our institutions are being questioned. People who are indulging in corruptions, when they are being investigated by agencies then agencies are being targeted. When court gives a decision then courts are being questioned. Judiciary is being questioned. You all are witnessing this. Under PMLA, during Congress government Rs 5,000 crore worth property were seized. In nine years under BJP Rs 1,10,000 crore worth property has been seized."
