Cop dies after pistol fires accidentally
In a bizzare incident, a cop on duty died in Punjab's Ayali village after his colleague's pistol accidentally went off on Monday, said reports.
Ludhiana, Nov 15: In a bizzare incident, a cop on duty died in Punjab's Ayali village after his colleague's pistol accidentally went off on Monday, said reports.
The incident took place outside MLA Manpreet Ayali's house in the outskirts of Ludhiana.

The deceased has been identified as head constable Nirdesh Singh, who hailed from Ghagga village in Patiala.
50-year-old Nirdesh Singh was on PCR duty along with three other cops in Ayali when they got a message that their weapons would be inspected in a day or two.
Reports say that four cops stopped outside SAD leaderand MLA Manpreet Ayal's house, when one of them started cleaning his 9mm service pistol.
While cleaning, the weapon went off and the bullet hit Nirdesh. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
The police have order a preliminary investigation into the matter, but have ruled out any foul play, said reports.
