Police Investigation

Superintendent of Police City Krishna Kumar Bishnoi visited the constable's house upon receiving information. A suicide note was found at the scene, indicating a dispute between the constable and his wife. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

Background

Dharmendra Singh joined the Uttar Pradesh Police in 2006 as a constable and was posted in the Gorakhpur police lines. He hailed from the Khajuri police station area in Ballia district. According to the suicide note, there had been discord between the constable and his wife for the past few days.

The Incident

On Wednesday morning, the constable and his wife had a heated argument over dropping off their children to school. Despite the argument, the constable went to drop off the children and allegedly hung himself from the fan after returning home.

Further Action

The Superintendent of Police stated that further action will be taken based on the post-mortem report. The investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected to be released in due course.
