Constable, clerk arrested for sexually harassing woman cop

Bellary (KTK), Oct 23: A constable and a clerk in a Bellary police station have been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a woman colleague.

Police said the constable boarded a bus in which the woman constable was bound for Gude Kote from Rampur and allegedly harassed her by taunting and pinching her while the other colleague, who was also with him, abetted the offence. The woman constable first complained over phone to higher officials and lodged a complaint at Gude Kote police station after reaching there, they said.

Both the constable and the clerk, who travelled with her upto her destination, were arrested at Gude Kote yesterday immediately after the complaint was lodged, police said. A local court has remanded both in judicial custody till October 28, they added.
