"Conspiracy To Kill Arvind Kejriwal": Atishi Alleges ED Lied In Court

Hours after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) told the court that jailed Delhi Chief Minister Arvid Kejriwal is eating mangoes to deliberately increase his diabetes, Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party senior leader Atishi, during a press conference, alleged that a "conspiracy to kill Arvind Kejriwal" is being done. She said alleged that authorities are not allowing Delhi CM to take "insulins despite repeated requests".

Atishi asked why the agency opposed Delhi CM's request for regular video consultation with his doctor, adding that a conspiracy to kill CM behind bars is being done.

"Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party defeated BJP thrice in Delhi assembly elections, so BJP has hatched a plan to kill CM behind bars now," Atishi alleged.

"Everyone knows Arvind Kejriwal is a patient with severe diabetes... he has been suffering for the past 30 years. To keep his sugar level under control he takes 54 units of insulin daily," she continued.

"Ask any doctor... only someone who has such severe diabetes takes this much insulin. That is why the court allowed Arvind Kejriwal to eat home-cooked food... and eat food prescribed by the doctor."

The ED arrested Delhi CM on March 21 in connection with money laundering related to now scrapped Delhi Liquor Policy. Since then, the Delhi-ruling party has been calling it a fake case and conspiracy scripted by the BJP to stop Arvind Kejriwal from campaigning for the INDIA bloc in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024.
