Congress would not win more than 50 seats: Yeddyurappa
BS Yeddyurappa said Congress would not win more than 50 seats and there is a wave of BJP in the state, adding the BJP would win more than 150 seats. He asserted that JDS will not win more than 25 seats. Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally Santhemaranahalli, Yeddyurappa said, "Some people say that BJP will ally with JDS, I want to clarify that we will form the government on our own."
In a long write-up, Yeddyurappa shared his thoughts on the development of Chamarajanagar district as PM Modi started his election rally from here.
"I felt compelled tot; Even after 16 years, the district is awaiting the attention of policy and lawmakers. The discredit, no doubt, goes to the Congress. The people of the district have, by and large, not wavered their trust. But the party which is repeatedly representing the people in Lok Sabha as well as in the legislative assembly has not lived up to the expectations of the people.
It is imperative to say that when the BJP got an opportunity to serve the people of this district, it never missed it. It has shown that it is possible to fast-track development of the district without disturbing the flora and fauna. It is indeed possible to meet the demand for contemporary school and college education. It is not an impossible task to empower the youth of the district through skill training. Moreover, it is possible to bring a smile on the faces of farmers and farm labourers by prioritizing irrigation projects.
The incumbent Chief Minister claims that he has visited Chamarajanagar for a dozen times. What purpose have the visits served when he has failed to feel the pulse of the people who are waiting for structural changes to see development?
