Congress wants MP Shivraj Singh be booked for ‘slapping’ security guard
The Congress state unit has demanded a case to be registered against Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for allegedly slapping a security personnel during a roadshow.
In a statement, the opposition party said,''it was due to "power going to their head, depleting public support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and annoyance over the failure of state government's policies that the chief minister and others were publicly giving vent to their annoyance".
The incident had reportedly taken place during a rally in Sardarpur. In the video, an agitated Chouhan is seen hitting the man with his hand while walking, surrounded by people. However, there was no clarity on when the video was shot.
The Chouhan held a roadshow at Sardarpur in Dhar district on Monday as part of the BJP's campaign for civic polls in the state.
