Congress Keeps Mum on Attending Ram Temple Consecration in Ayodhya
The Congress party has received invitations for the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya but has not yet revealed whether its top leaders will attend.
The Congress party on Thursday refrained from disclosing its stance on whether its top leaders would attend the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22, despite expressing gratitude for the invitations received.

Invitations Extended to Congress Leaders
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, former party chief Sonia Gandhi, and the party's leader in the Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, have all been invited to the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, scheduled for January 22. According to sources, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust extended the invitations.
Congress Response
When asked if the party leaders would attend the ceremony, Congress general secretary K C Venugopal remained noncommittal during a press conference. He stated, "You will know about the party's stand. You will know on January 22 about the participation. They have invited us, we are very much thankful to them for inviting us, let us see."
Individual Invitations
The sources revealed that the invitations were sent individually to Kharge, Gandhi, and Chowdhury. Former prime ministers Manmohan Singh and H D Deve Gowda have also received invitations for the event.
Invitation Delivery
The invitations were reportedly delivered by a delegation associated with the trust. The trust has indicated that more invitations are likely to be sent to other opposition leaders in the coming days.
Inclusive Invitations
The trust has stated that invitations have also been extended to revered seers from various traditions, along with prominent individuals who have contributed to the country's honor in different domains.
As the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya draws closer, the Congress party's decision on whether its top leaders will attend remains uncertain. The party has expressed gratitude for the invitations but has not yet disclosed its official stance on participation.
