Congress Tried To Mislead Dalits: PM Modi Slams Grand Old Party A Day After Haryana Poll Results
Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticised the Congress party, accusing it of "misleading the public" and "spreading lies among the Dalit community." This came a day after the BJP's significant victory in the Haryana Assembly elections. Speaking virtually to Nagpur residents, PM Modi stated that Haryana's people demonstrated they wouldn't succumb to Congress and its urban Naxal allies' conspiracies.
The BJP achieved a remarkable third consecutive win in Haryana, overcoming anti-incumbency and thwarting Congress' comeback hopes in this agriculture-centric state. The BJP secured its highest-ever tally of 48 seats, while Congress managed only 37 seats in the Haryana Assembly polls.

PM Modi's Accusations Against Congress
During his address, PM Modi remarked that after two terms, winning a third term in Haryana is historic. He accused Congress of misleading the public and spreading falsehoods among Dalits. According to him, Dalits realised Congress might take away their reservations to benefit its vote bank.
"The Dalit community in Haryana extended record support to the BJP," PM Modi said. He also claimed that Congress attempted to incite farmers and youth but failed as they trust BJP for a brighter future. He emphasised that Haryana's public won't fall for Congress' divisive tactics.
Development Projects in Nagpur
PM Modi's comments were made during a virtual ceremony for laying foundation stones for development projects worth over Rs 7,600 crore in Nagpur. These projects include enhancements at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport and a new terminal at Shirdi Airport.
Maharashtra is gearing up for Assembly elections later this year. The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance aims to retain power in the state. The foundation stone-laying event highlighted BJP's focus on infrastructure development as part of its election strategy.
The sharp words from PM Modi reflect his confidence following the BJP's success in Haryana. His accusations against Congress underline ongoing political tensions as both parties prepare for upcoming electoral battles across India.
