Keshav Prasad Maurya Accuses Congress Toolkit Gang of Distorting BJP Leaders' Remarks to Divide Society
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has accused the Congress and its affiliates of attempting to divide society. He claims they distort statements from senior BJP leaders for political gain. Maurya's remarks were made in a statement released by the BJP's UP unit.

Maurya criticised Congress leaders for demanding Union Home Minister Amit Shah's resignation. He suggested they should introspect instead. According to him, these leaders have historically ignored Babasaheb Ambedkar socially and politically but now pretend to support him for votes.
Political Allegations and Accusations
The Deputy Chief Minister alleged that Congress leaders are frustrated by electoral defeats. He accused them of turning the temple of democracy into a hub for conspiracies. Maurya specifically condemned Rahul Gandhi and his party members for their actions.
Maurya further accused the Congress of exploiting Babasaheb Ambedkar's legacy. He claimed they are trying to sell his dreams by mimicking his attire, as their previous strategies involving the Nehru-Gandhi surname have failed.
Conspiracy Claims and Video Controversy
Maurya alleged that opposition leaders conspired by presenting an edited video clip of Amit Shah's Rajya Sabha statement. He questioned whether this act was not a conspiracy, implying it was a deliberate attempt to mislead the public.
He also criticised the Congress for allegedly disrespecting Babasaheb Ambedkar throughout his life. Maurya claimed they sidelined his principles and did not honour him with the Bharat Ratna when in power.
Congress Criticism and Historical Context
The Deputy Chief Minister accused Congress of creating public frenzy to gain political advantage after electoral losses. He stated that every BJP worker respects Babasaheb Ambedkar's thoughts and principles.
Maurya highlighted Babasaheb Ambedkar's significant contributions to India's Constitution. He noted Ambedkar's role in providing justice to backward classes, Dalits, tribals, and strengthening democracy's foundation.
He also mentioned that Congress left no stone unturned in their efforts to defeat Babasaheb Ambedkar in the 1952 Lok Sabha elections.
The Deputy Chief Minister concluded by emphasising the BJP's respect for Babasaheb Ambedkar's contributions and principles, contrasting it with Congress's alleged historical neglect.
