Congress Targets Modi Govt, Asks For Clarity After CDS Anil Chauhan's 'Tactical Mistakes' Statement

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge stressed the importance of convening a Special Session of Parliament to address these critical issues.

Congress emphasized the need for India to reassess its military technology and defence preparedness, suggesting the formation of a review committee akin to the one established post-Kargil conflict.

Senior Congress leader and Telangana Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy, a former fighter pilot himself, called for the government to acknowledge the downing of Indian aircraft. He criticized the Modi administration for its lack of transparency, asserting that accountability should be a fundamental aspect of democracy. Reddy also raised concerns about the delayed supply of fighter aircraft by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), highlighting the strategic implications of such delays on India's air defence capabilities.
