Congress' STD Booth Jibe at BL Santhosh

Karnataka Congress took a swipe at BJP National Secretary BL Santhosh over his recent claims that the BJP will lead in 31,000 booths in the Karnataka Assembly elections.

"So what are the 31,000 booths they mentioned? STD booths?" Karnataka Congress tweeted.

After the exit poll results are out, the BL Santhosh stated that the surveys would turn out to be wrong. "With due respect to all pollsters none of them predicted 282 in 2014 or 303 in 2019 or 156 in 2022 Or 104 in 2018," IANS quoted the BJP National Secretary as stating.

"In 2018 the BJP in Karnataka led in 24,000 booths with zero leads in 14 assembly constituencies. This time we lead in 31,000 booths with all assembly constituencies contributing. Numbers are your guess," he added.

The Congress has emerged victorious in the Karnataka Assembly Polls in over 135 seats, as per the trends. The ruling party has been reduced to 60+ seats.

On the other hand, DK Shivakumar has said that the victory of Congress is the victory of Karnataka.

On Twitter, he wrote, "Congress party's victory is Karnataka's victory- a hard earned one! Our guarantees for our people are the guiding force of our vision for the state and we shall get down to implementation right away. This is a huge mandate for our leaders and workers who have worked hard for this win. My heartfelt congratulations to all!"
