New Delhi, Nov 5: As Delhi is in election mode now, it seems Congress has also woken up and has reportedly formed a 'controversial' team of 9 for the Delhi polls which will be held in the beginning of the next year.

As per reports, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has handpicked controversial leaders Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar for his team. Surprisingly, Shiela Dikshit who ruled Delhi for continuous fifteen years under Congress's banner has been left out of the team.

Both Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler face allegations of being involved in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

Reacting on the Congress's team BJP spokesperson, Sambit Patra, tweeted and said, "Team Rahul for Delhi Elections is nothing but an assembly of Failed Captains for yet another Failure!!"

He also tweeted, "Jagdish Tytler & Sajjan Kumar part of Team Rahul for Delhi Elections...Rewarded for the Sikh Massacre?? ..Audacious!!"

Later in the day, under fire for reportedly including 1984 anti-Sikh riots accused in its Delhi election team the Congress backtracked and denied making any such body.
