Congress Unveils Second Candidate List for Delhi Assembly Polls Featuring Farhad Suri Against Manish Sisodia
The Congress has unveiled its second list of 26 candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections. This list includes Farhad Suri, who will contest against AAP's Manish Sisodia in Jangpura. Former AAP MLAs Asim Khan and Devinder Sehrawat have also been given tickets. Khan will run from Matia Mahal, while Sehrawat will contest from Bijwasan. Both joined Congress recently.

With this announcement, Congress has now declared 47 candidates for the 70-member Delhi Assembly elections. The party's strategy involves fielding strong contenders across various constituencies to challenge the ruling AAP. The elections are expected to take place in February next year.
Congress Candidates and Key Contests
In addition to Suri, the Congress has fielded Satish Luthra from Shakur Basti and Rajesh Lilothia from Seemapuri SC. Haji Mohammad Ishraq Khan will contest from Babarpur, while Rajesh Chauhan is nominated for Deoli SC. CEC Meeting and Candidate Approval
The announcement followed a meeting of the Congress Central Election Committee (CEC), which approved the list of candidates. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and former party chief Rahul Gandhi participated via video conferencing. Delhi in-charge Qazi Mohammad Nizamuddin and other CEC members were present at the AICC headquarters.
Earlier this month, Congress released its first list of 21 candidates. This included ex-MP Sandeep Dikshit for New Delhi, setting up a contest with AAP's Arvind Kejriwal. Other notable candidates include Delhi chief Devender Yadav from Badli and ex-minister Haroon Yusuf from Ballimaran.
Congress's Determination in Delhi
Ex-Delhi Congress chief Chaudhary Anil Kumar will contest Patparganj, while national spokesperson Ragini Nayak is fielded from Wazirpur. Adarsh Shastri is nominated for Dwarka. The party aims to present a formidable challenge across all constituencies.
Qazi Mohammad Nizamuddin stated that all 70 seats are crucial for Congress. "We will try to fight strongly on all seats," he said when asked about prominent constituencies in Delhi.
The upcoming elections are crucial for Congress as they seek to regain influence in the capital city. The party's comprehensive candidate list reflects its commitment to a strong electoral battle against AAP.
