New Delhi, Nov 30: Sharpening its attack on Narendra Modi government for its alleged 'U-turns' on key issues, the Congress is preparing to highlight BJP's "going back" on poll promises and hijacking of UPA's schemes.

The party will come out with a booklet tomorrow and also plans to raise these issues in Parliament from next week to "embarrass" the government in the middle of the winter session, party sources said.

The 33-page booklet would highlight over two dozen 'U-turns' by the NDA government on the issues of black money, handling of border situation with China and Pakistan, cash subsidy and different bills like FDI in insurance and GST among others, which were UPA proposals.

Also issues like BJP's stand on CAG report and rape cases would be included. Party General Secretary and Communication Department Chairman, Ajay Maken said "when we are finalising our program to release the booklet on the government's U-turns on Monday, Narendra Modi government has done another U-turn on nuclear issue."

Maken's remark came following a report today that Modi government was working on plans to unshackle the country's nuclear energy programme.

BJP had opposed signing of the Indo-US nuclear deal by the UPA-I government in 2008. Meanwhile, Congress continued its tirade on the Modi government, with Maken targeting it of making a "complete U-turn" from its stand on 'Aadhar', launched by the UPA.

"Six months have passed of the U-turn government; Direct Benefit Transfer Aadhar-Aim to Directly Benefit from UPA schemes," he tweeted.

In his blog, Maken said after publicly trashing the far reaching 'Aadhar' scheme of the UPA, the BJP was now promoting it for the same reasons that Congress brought it for.

"After having questioned the very validity and stake of any state government in Aadhar, the Modi government is now talking about it as a tool that will help the finance minister reduce subsidy burden by Rs 2,000 cr," he said, and sought to bring out the contradiction of this with the "BJP stand as Opposition to Aadhar and financial inclusion".
