Congress protests "anti-people" policies of Centre, state govt

Rewari, Jul 22: Congress today held demonstration at the district secretariat here protesting against the alleged "anti-people" policies of central and state governments.

Addressing the party activists, former Haryana minister and senior Congress leader Ajay Singh Yadav alleged that farmers, employees, traders and others were fed up with the state of affairs owing to "corrupt practices" of those at the helm of affairs at both Centre and Haryana.

Before coming to the power in Haryana, BJP leaders had promised old age pension of Rs 2,000 per month to the beneficiaries, but now they were virtually going from pillar to post to receive their old age pension, he claimed.
