Congress MP Karti Chidambaram, known for his critiques of the ruling NDA Government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, surprisingly praised the saffron front during a conversation with OneIndia. Karti Chidambaram said the BJP has done "many things right" including their push for technological advancements.

This unexpected commendation from a prominent opposition leader underscores the complexity of political discourse and recognizes the strides made in India's tech sector under the current government.

During the conversation, Karti Chidambaram said that since 2014, there have been many things every party does right and many, many things they don't do right.

"I mean, on a broader principle, I don't agree with the BJP's Narrative of India. Their Narrative of India is a Hindi Hindu India, which I don't accept. But of course, they get so many things right. I mean, that I mean particularly this prime minister's push towards technology, he's got it right."

"He (PM Modi) understands that technology can break many barriers, and I think he's right on that," Karti said

"But his societal view is not something I agree with. It does not mean every government builds on the shoulders of the previous government. I mean, no government can negate what the previous government did. Economic progress or technological progress or societal progress is built by generations and the government, and that's natural. Of course, I would not say that they've got everything wrong," he said.

"Of course, they've got a few things that are working out. But ideologically, their societal view and their view on how the agency should function and the control which the central government must exercise over the states and over individual liberty is something which I don't agree with," the Congressman further added.
