Congress leader Digvijay Singh's youngest daughter passes away
New Delhi, April 29: Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh's youngest daughter Karnika Kumari on Friday, April 29, passed away at a Delhi hospital.
37-year-old Karnika was suffering from cancer. She breathed her last at 5.15 am at Max hospital, Saket in South Delhi, where she was admitted a few days ago.

She had undergone treatment for the disease in the US as well. Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi along with senior party leader Ghulam Nabi Azad visited Singh at his residence located in 64 Lodhi Estate.
Her body was taken to Wadhwan in Surendranagar district of Gujarat for last rites via road, where her in-laws are based.
Digvijay's first wife Asha Singh also battled cancer for several years and passed away on Feb 27, 2013. The Congress general secretary has four daughters and a son from his previous marriage.
Prime Minister Narendra also condoled the demise of Digvijay's daughter on Twitter. He said, "My deepest condolences to Congress leader Shri Digvijay Singh Ji on the passing away of his young daughter. My prayers are with you."
