Congress leader calls Swamy 'psychic'

Panaji, May 17: Attacking BJP MP Subramanian Swamy for trying to link Congress leaders to the AgustaWestland chopper scam, Goa Congress president Luizinho Faleiro on Tuesday (May 17) called him a "psychic".

Addressing the media here, Faleiro first read out a chronology of events linked to the developments in the AgustaWestland case before he attacked Swamy.

"Who is that psychic fellow in the Rajya Sabha?" Faleiro said, referring to the former Janata Party chief who raised the issue of in parliament.

Faleiro accused the BJP and its leaders of being hell bent on dragging the Congress leadership including Rahul Gandhi, former prime minister Manmohan Singh and former defence minister A.K. Antony into the scam.

Asked to comment on the role of Defence Minister and former Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, Faleiro said: "Parrikar is a son of Goa. If you want me to fight with him, I will not."

Faleiro said he had no personal animosity with Parrikar and that their differences were only ideological.
