Congress has nothing to do with Sunanda death case, says PC Chacko
New Delhi, Jan 11: Senior Congress leader PC Chacko on Sunday said that the death case of former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor's wife Sunanda was his personal matter and that the party has nothing to do with it.
"This case is related to Shashi Tharoor only, not the Congress party. It's purely a personal matter," Chacko was quoted as saying in media reports.

On Saturday, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said that he did not have anything more to add to what he had stated in public about the case at Guruvayur.

"It is pointless for you to waste your time on other matters. I said very clearly what I said in Guruvayur yesterday. I have nothing more to add and you are not going to get me to add anything more," Tharoor said.
Days after the Delhi Police filed a case of murder in his wife's mysterious death, the former Union Minister, who completed a two-week Ayurveda treatment near Guruvayur, told the media in the temple town that he will extend full cooperation in a "fair" investigation and demanded a professional police probe without any political pressure or consideration and pre-determined outcome.
Sunanda Pushkar was found dead in the five-star hotel in south Delhi on the night of January 17, a day after her Twitter spat with Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar over an alleged affair with Shashi Tharoor.
