Congress Must Apologize for Snubbing Ram Temple Invite: MP CM Mohan Yadav

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav condemned the Congress partys decision not to attend the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, labeling it as an offense to the majority community and demanding an apology.

Indore, January 17: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the Congress party for declining the invitation to attend the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. He asserted that the Congress has committed a grave sin by hurting the sentiments of the majority community and must apologize to the people of India.

Congress Faces Backlash for Shunning Historic Ram Temple Event

Congress' Arrogance on Display

Yadav accused the Congress of displaying arrogance by rejecting the invitation. He highlighted that even countries like Mauritius have declared a holiday for Ram devotees to enable them to watch the ceremony. The chief minister pointed out that the invitation was extended to the Congress with generosity, despite their history of complicating the Ram temple construction issue and obstructing its progress through legal challenges.

Invitation Still Open

Yadav urged the Congress to reconsider its decision and accept the invitation, emphasizing that it is not too late to rectify their mistake. He expressed his hope that the party would prioritize the sentiments of the people and participate in this momentous occasion.

Celebrating the Ram Temple

The chief minister announced that January 22 will be celebrated like Diwali in Madhya Pradesh, marking the grand occasion of the Ram temple consecration. He recalled the historical significance of the original Ram temple, built by Ujjain's emperor Vikramaditya 2,000 years ago, and lamented its destruction by invaders 500 years ago.

Inauguration and Foundation Stone Laying

During his visit to Indore, Yadav inaugurated a replica of the Ram temple constructed by the Indore Municipal Corporation using 21 tonnes of iron scrap at Vishram Bagh. He also laid the foundation stone for an elevated corridor from LIG square to Navlakha square, a project worth Rs 350 crore aimed at easing traffic congestion on AB Road. The construction is expected to be completed within two years.

Jan Abhar Yatra

As part of the BJP's "Jan Abhar Yatra," Chief Minister Yadav participated in a road show from Bada Ganpati square to Rajbada. The yatra aims to express gratitude to the people for their support and blessings.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's strong criticism of the Congress for declining the invitation to the Ram temple consecration ceremony reflects the deep significance of this event for the people of India. His call for an apology and his emphasis on the importance of respecting religious sentiments underscore the sensitivity surrounding this issue. As the countdown to January 22 continues, the nation eagerly awaits the grand celebration of the Ram temple's consecration.
