Congress to Aim for Full Victory in Faridabad Assembly Seats: Bhupinder Hooda

As Haryana prepares for assembly elections later this year, former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced that the Congress aims to win all constituencies in Faridabad. Hooda praised Congress workers for challenging the BJP in the recent Lok Sabha polls and stated that the party's goal is to ensure a safe and developed Haryana, according to a party statement.

Congress Eyes Faridabad Seats Win

Addressing a conference of party workers in Faridabad on Friday, Hooda said, "You have conquered half the front. After three months, there is a chance to conquer the whole front in the assembly elections. This time our target is a Congress victory in all assembly seats of Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency."

Congress' Development Plans

Hooda criticised the ruling BJP for depriving Faridabad residents of basic facilities despite it being Haryana's oldest industrial city. He highlighted that during Congress' tenure, they established the IMT, built six-lane roads, and improved water supply and sewage systems. In contrast, he accused the BJP of causing problems like water shortages and blocked sewerage.

The former chief minister also promised that if Congress comes to power, they will reinstate the old pension scheme for employees in Haryana. He added that elderly citizens would receive Rs 6,000 in pension, 300 units of free electricity would be provided to combat price rises, and gas cylinders would be available for Rs 500.

Promises for Employment and Welfare

Hooda assured that more than two lakh vacancies would be filled through permanent recruitment under a Congress government. He emphasised that these measures are aimed at improving the lives of Haryana's residents by addressing unemployment and providing essential services.

At the conference, many senior leaders and party workers were present, including Haryana Congress President Udai Bhan, party leader Mahendra Pratap Singh, Deputy Leader of Opposition Aftab Ahmed, and MLA Neeraj Sharma. Their presence underscored the unity within the party as they gear up for the upcoming elections.

Criticism of BJP Policies

Udai Bhan urged party workers to ensure a Congress victory in the assembly polls by exposing what he called the lies of BJP. He reminded them that under Congress rule, a scheme was initiated to allot free plots of 100 yards to seven lakh families. However, when BJP came to power, this scheme was halted, leaving three lakh families without plots.

Bhan stressed that it is crucial for Congress workers to communicate these issues to the public effectively. He believes that highlighting these points will help garner support for Congress in the upcoming elections.

Hooda's speech also included a call to action for Congress workers. He encouraged them to work diligently towards securing a victory in all assembly seats within the Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency. His message was clear: with hard work and unity, Congress can achieve its goals in the forthcoming elections.

The conference concluded with a strong sense of determination among Congress leaders and workers. They left with a renewed commitment to their cause and a clear strategy for the upcoming electoral battle.

The upcoming assembly elections are crucial for both Congress and BJP as they vie for control over Haryana's political landscape. The promises made by Hooda and other leaders aim to address key issues faced by residents and provide solutions that resonate with voters.

The focus on development, employment, and welfare schemes highlights Congress' strategy to appeal to a broad base of voters. By addressing these critical areas, they hope to gain an edge over their political rivals in the upcoming elections.

The concluding remarks from Hooda encapsulated the spirit of his message: "We have a chance to bring positive change to Haryana. Let's work together towards this goal."
