Sadhvi was in custody since 2008, for almost nine years.
At the ouset, the stringent provisions of Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act, 1999 (MCOCA) were slapped against her. But after the decision of the Supreme Court, the NIA dropped charges under MCOCA against Sadhvi.
