Congratulations Srishti Bakshi for covering 3,800 kms on foot to create awareness on women safety!
Srinagar, May 8: It's a one-woman mission from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, highlighting the issue of women safety and empowerment.
Meet 31-year-old Srishti Bakshi who has just completed a huge feat by covering a distance of 3,800 kms in 230 days on foot. Bakshi started her arduous journey from Kanyakumari last year. It has culminated in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir recently. She is definitely a role model, who by her daredevil act, has inspired millions of women across the country.
To honour the brave and compassionate Hong Kong-based social entrepreneur, who is passionate about issues related to women, an event was hosted in Srinagar recently. Talking to ANI, Bakshi said, "The motive was to promote women safety and we talked to people about this but we still have a lot to do."

Bakshi started her foot march under the banner, CrossBow movement, as a part of which she met men and women belonging to various walks of life in 12 states in the country during her journey.
"This is not just an awareness builder. Everyone knows about growing violence against women. But there's only too much noise and no action. CrossBow is an action-oriented initiative, where we interact with diverse audiences on multiple problems concerning women," she told The Hindu in an earlier interview.
"I believe technology can be a sustainable and long-term solution for a lot of issues that women face," she added.
