Cong forms screening panels for U'khand, Goa, Manipur polls
All the three states go to polls early next year, along with Uttar Pradesh and Punjab
New Delhi, Dec 13: Congress President Sonia Gandhi today constituted screening committees for poll-bound states of Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur to initiate the process of candidate selection.
Incharge of the Congress communications department Randeep Surjewala said former union minister Kumari Selja had been named chairperson of the screening committee for Uttarakhand. Former MP Avinash Pande and Harshvardhan Sapkale will be the other members in this panel.

The Goa screening panel will be headed by Congress whip in Lok Sabha KC Venugopal, with ex-MP Bhakta Charan Das and Deepak Babaria as its members.
Former Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala will chair the screening panel for Manipur, with ex-MoS Jitender Singh and Bengal leader Shubhankar Sarkar as members.
All the three states go to polls early next year, along with Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
