Cong announces fifth list, Amarinder Singh to take on Jaitley
According to the list, the party has fielded former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh against senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley from Amritsar constituency.
However, the party has not announced the candidate from Varanasi, where BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is contesting.
Ambika Soni will contest from Anandpur Sahib in Punjab. It is also known that party chief Sonia Gandhi will be contesting from Rae Bareli. She will file nomination on April 2.
The party had released its fourth list on Thursday.
