The condition of an eight-year-old boy injured in a stampede during the screening of "Pushpa-2" on December 4 is showing signs of improvement. His father, Bhaskar, shared this update on Tuesday. The child was removed from oxygen and ventilator support two days ago, according to Bhaskar.

The hospital provided a health update, stating that Sritej's vital signs remain stable without any need for oxygen or ventilatory support. He is responsive to verbal stimuli but not following oral commands. Although he opens his eyes and moves his limbs spontaneously, he has yet to make meaningful eye contact or recognise family members.

Support from Film Industry

Bhaskar mentioned receiving financial assistance, including a demand draft for Rs 10 lakhs from Allu Arjun and additional help from the film's production house and state Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy. Despite this support, Bhaskar clarified that there was no pressure on him to withdraw his complaint.

Dil Raju, a prominent film producer and chairman of the Film Development Corporation (FDC), expressed his commitment to ensuring the family receives support from both the film industry and the government. He offered Bhaskar a permanent job in the film industry if interested, but emphasised that the boy's recovery is the immediate priority.

Government Involvement

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy appreciated the idea of providing employment to Bhaskar. Dil Raju mentioned plans for a delegation from the film industry to meet with the Chief Minister soon. He assured coordination between the film fraternity and government to maintain positive relations.

The tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad resulted in the death of Bhaskar's 35-year-old wife and hospitalisation of their son. Following this, a case was filed against Allu Arjun, his security team, and theatre management under various sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Chikkadpally police station based on the family's complaint.

Allu Arjun was arrested by city police on December 13 as accused number 11 in connection with the woman's death. The Telangana High Court granted him four-week interim bail on the same day, leading to his release from prison on December 14 morning.
