Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Cut Down By Rs 41
In some relief to business owners, particularly those in the hospitality sector, the announcement by oil marketing companies (OMCs) to cut down the price of 19-kg commercial LPG gas cylinders by Rs 41 starting today, April 1, 2025. The cost of a commercial cylinder in the national capital is now stands at Rs 1,762 which was earlier Rs 1,803.
This move is anticipated to alleviate some of the inflationary pressures faced by hotels, restaurants, and other enterprises that depend on these cylinders for their day-to-day operations.

The decision to lower commercial LPG cylinder prices comes as a welcome development for businesses grappling with fluctuating expenses. Notably, this price revision is exclusive to commercial cylinders, with prices for domestic LPG remaining unchanged. It's crucial to acknowledge that LPG prices are subject to variation across different states, influenced by local taxes and transportation charges. For instance, the price for a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi stands at Rs 803.
The recent pricing dynamics reveal a pattern of fluctuation within the LPG market. Prior to this reduction, March witnessed an increase in commercial LPG cylinder prices by Rs 6. This pricing strategy, determined by government oil companies on the first day of each month, reflects an ongoing adjustment to the global energy market's shifts. Such volatility is indicative of the broader instability in fuel pricing, largely driven by international market trends.
Furthermore, the impact of this price cut extends beyond the hospitality industry, potentially affecting a wide range of commercial establishments that utilize LPG for various operational needs. The adjustment in LPG cylinder prices, both in recent months and with the latest announcement, underscores the sensitive balance between domestic market forces and global energy trends.
