Collector Reviews Telecom Pilot Project Aimed at Enhancing Rural Facilities in Ari-Umri Village

The Guna collector held a review meeting for a telecom pilot project in Ari-Umri village, aimed at improving digital, medical, and educational services in rural areas. This initiative is part of the Samriddh Gram Pilot Program and includes advanced facilities for local communities.

The Guna district in Madhya Pradesh is part of a new pilot project by the Union Ministry of Telecommunications. This initiative, reviewed on Thursday, aims to bring urban-level digital, medical, education, and communication services to rural areas. Ari-Umri village in Guna is one of three villages chosen for this project, according to collector Kishore Kumar Kanyal.

Samriddh Village Initiative

The Samriddh Village initiative includes Narakoduru in Andhra Pradesh and Chaurawala in Uttar Pradesh alongside Ari-Umri. The project is part of the Samriddh Gram Pilot Program and is currently in its pilot phase. The scheme's goal is to enhance rural areas with facilities typically found in urban settings.

Guna is also the parliamentary constituency of Union Telecommunications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. The project will provide 50 types of medical investigation facilities, digital test records, and modern equipment. These advancements aim to improve healthcare access in rural communities.

Education and Technology Integration

In addition to healthcare improvements, the project will introduce urban-level technical facilities in rural schools. This includes implementing the latest technologies in education, agriculture, and communication. Such advancements are expected to streamline work and services, making them faster and simpler.

A comprehensive digital database of each village will be created under this project. This database will cover housing, population, employment, education, health status, and more. It will help assess the impact and changes following the scheme's implementation.

Project Management and Implementation

During the review meeting, Kishore Kumar Kanyal instructed District Panchayat CEO Gaurav Khare to ensure systematic office space for the project. This space will facilitate smooth compilation, monitoring, and operation of all related information.

This initiative represents a significant step towards bridging the gap between urban and rural areas by providing essential services and infrastructure improvements. The project's success could pave the way for similar initiatives across other rural regions in India.
