CM Yogi Says Send Abu Azmi To UP, We Will Do His Treatment
Aurangzeb controversy which took place in Maharashtra, has now found its way to Uttar Pradesh. Today, while addressing the state assembly UP CM Yogi Adityanath criticised the Samajwadi Party MLA from Mumbai's Shivaji Nagar Abu Azmi, who had described Aurangzeb as a "good administrator".
Lashing out at Abu Azmi and the Samajwadi Party, CM Yogi said "Aurangzeb is the Samajwadi Party's idol more than Lohia."

Earlier today, Abu Azmi was suspended from the Maharashtra Assembly.
CM Yogi also questioned Samajwadi Party that why they haven't removed him. He said, "Remove that person from (Samajwadi) party and send him to UP, we will do his treatment." Yogi further questioned if someone who praises Aurangzeb over Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj should remain in India.
UP CM also demanded an explanation from SP leaders about their ideological shift towards Aurangzeb.
Azmi's comments have sparked significant political debate. He described Aurangzeb as a "good administrator" and mentioned that India's borders extended to Afghanistan and Burma during his rule. This statement was made in the context of criticising the portrayal of historical events in the film 'Chhava', which focuses on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
Akhilesh Yadav Defends Party Stance
Following Azmi's suspension, SP president Akhilesh Yadav expressed his views on X. He wrote, "If the basis of suspension starts getting influenced by ideology, then what difference will there be between freedom of expression and subjection?" Yadav defended his party members' right to express their opinions freely.
Yadav further commented on the suspension process, stating that it reflects negative thinking. He argued that suspending members based on ideology undermines freedom of expression and equates to childishness in political discourse.
