CM Yogi Adityanath Reacts On BJP's Delhi Victory, Says People Believe In PM Modi's Successful Leadership
Reacting to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s thumping victory in the Delhi assembly elections 2025, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attributed this success to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's assurances. UP CM said Delhi's victory reflects people's trust in Prime Minister Modi, his leadership, and social policies.
According to Election Commission data, BJP won 28 seats, surpassing the majority mark of 36 needed to govern Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) bagged only 22 seats, while Congress again failed to open its account.

BJP's Historic Win and Public Trust
In a post on X, Adityanath expressed his congratulations to party officials and workers for their dedication. He remarked, "This victory is a stamp of the faith of the people of Delhi on the successful leadership of the respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji and his development policies dedicated to the benefit of all, public welfare and overall upliftment."
Adityanath also celebrated BJP's triumph in Milkipur bypolls. He praised party workers for their efforts, noting that this win symbolizes people's unwavering faith in BJP's governance under PM Modi and UP government's commitment to service and security.
AAP Faces Setback Amidst BJP's Resurgence
Yogendra Yadav, co-founder of Swaraj India and a former AAP member, commented on AAP's defeat. He described it as a setback not just for AAP but for all opposition parties. Yadav highlighted concerns about AAP's future as it now remains limited to Punjab.
Yadav noted that despite being close in vote share with BJP, both Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia lost their seats. This raises questions about AAP's prospects moving forward.
The BJP is set for a comeback in Delhi after over 26 years, marking another significant win for the party. This victory extends its influence across India, further diminishing AAP's presence in the national capital.
