CM Vasundhara Raje to present annual state budget tomorrow

Jaipur, Mar 7: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje will present the 2016-17 budget in the assembly on Tuesday, Mar 7.

CM Raje, who holds the finance portfolio, has held pre-budget meetings with stakeholders of various sectors to know their expectations and suggestions for the budget. The industry stakeholders have asked the government to revitalise investors' confidence and to simplify tax regime.

The Chief Minister will present the budget at 11 am. In one of the pre-consultation meetings with the Chief Minister last month, CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) pressed for steps to enhance ease of doing business.

A simple, transparent and non-adversarial tax regime, bereft of complexities and ambiguities would go a long way to strengthen business sentiment and restore faith of the investor in the state, a CII official said.
