CM Mohan Yadav Meets PM Modi, Highlights Madhya Pradesh’s Farmer Welfare Year Drive

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday and briefed him on the wide range of programmes and activities being carried out in the state under the ongoing Farmer Welfare Year.

During the courtesy meeting, the chief minister informed the Prime Minister about Madhya Pradesh's efforts to strengthen agriculture, raise farmers' income and boost the rural economy. He also updated him on the broader progress being made in the state. Dr Yadav said several initiatives are being implemented under Farmer Welfare Year to support farmers and agriculture-linked sectors, and added that Prime Minister Modi appreciated these efforts and offered guidance for the way ahead.

CM Updates PM Modi on Farmer Welfare Year Activities

The meeting took place in New Delhi, where Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and sought his guidance on key state initiatives. During the interaction, the chief minister gave the Prime Minister a detailed update on the programmes being organised in Madhya Pradesh under Farmer Welfare Year, which has been positioned as a major state-level effort to improve agricultural growth and strengthen the rural economy.

Dr Yadav informed Prime Minister Modi that the state government is focusing on multiple interventions aimed at increasing farmers' income, supporting agriculture and allied sectors, and building a stronger economic framework in rural areas. He also apprised the Prime Minister of the measures being taken in the interest of farmers and the overall development progress of Madhya Pradesh.

State Government Working for Farmers, Women, Poor and Youth

Speaking after the meeting, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said the Madhya Pradesh government is working in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for four key sections of society: farmers, women, the poor and the youth.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said, "The state government is working for all four categories, farmers, women, the poor and the youth, in line with the path shown by Prime Minister Modi. We are observing Farmer Welfare Year in a very effective manner. Nearly 16 departments, including animal husbandry, fisheries, horticulture and agriculture, have been brought together and are doing good work. I am happy that Prime Minister Modi has blessed our efforts to move forward, and the results will also be positive in the future."

He said the Farmer Welfare Year is being implemented through a coordinated approach that brings together nearly 16 departments connected to farming and the rural economy. These include agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries and horticulture, among others.

According to the chief minister, this integrated model is designed to ensure that farmers benefit not only through direct farm-focused policies but also through allied sectors that can improve livelihoods and generate additional income opportunities in rural areas.

Focus on Agricultural Growth, Rural Economy and State Development

Dr Mohan Yadav said the Madhya Pradesh government is working under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the larger goal of contributing to the country's overall development. He said the state remains committed to taking Madhya Pradesh to new heights of progress and ensuring that development efforts reach every section of society.

CM Visits Parliament House, Meets MPs During Delhi Tour

During his New Delhi visit, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav also visited Parliament House and met several Members of Parliament. During these meetings, he discussed issues related to Madhya Pradesh's development, Centre-state coordination and matters connected to public welfare.

The discussions focused on how to accelerate development works in the state and improve cooperation between the Union and the state governments on issues of public interest. Dr Yadav said the state government is continuously working to speed up development projects in the interest of the people.

He also reiterated that special attention is being given to strengthening agriculture and the rural economy through Farmer Welfare Year, which remains a central part of the state's current development and welfare strategy.
