Cloudburst near base camp of Amarnath yatra, pilgrims safe

Srinagar, Jul 25: A cloudburst occurred tonight in Baltal near the base camp of Amarnath Yatra in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district but all pilgrims are reported to be safe, police said.

"Cloudburst struck near Baltal base camp and water entered some tents there.

However, all yatris are reported safe so far," a police official said.

He said the pilgrims have been moved to safer places. Further details of the incident are awaited, the officer added.
