Close aide of Karti Chidambaram arrested in INX Media case
A close aide and a chartered account of Karti Chidambaram has been arrested in connection with the INX Media case. The ED which had raided the residence of Bhaskar Raman arrested him today for further questioning.

The ED had also raided the premises of C V N Reddy and R Vishwanathan, who are also close aides of the son of the former union minister, P Chidambaram.
On Thursday, Karti was questioned for several hours by the ED. Karti had even handed out a letter to the ED officials stating that the same was in protest.
On January 31, the Supreme Court sent back Karti Chidambaram's plea that challenged the Look Out Circular issued against him by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to the Madras High Court.
ED sources said that based on the investigations, more arrests are likely to follow.
The CBI too which is probing the case also questioned Karti and the three others earlier. The agency is examining him in connection with a Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) clearance given to media group INX Media for receiving funds from Mauritius when his father P Chidambaram was the Union finance minister.
It is alleged that Karti received money from INX Media, run by the Mukerjeas, who are currently in jail, charged with the murder of Indrani's daughter.
