Clean chit for Kanhaiya Kumar in sedition case?
Kanaihya Kumar is likely to get a clean chit in the sedition case which was filed against him by the Delhi police. A case was filed against Kumar after it was alleged that he had raised anti-India slogans during at an event in JNU to mark the death anniversary of Afzal Guru who was sentenced to death in the Parliament attack case.

While the chargesheet in the case is yet to be filed, the police had found that Kumar's voice has tested negatives. Videos of the sloganeering were sent out for forensic analysis and as per the tests the voice was not that of Kumar's, an India Today report stated.
The police with the help of scientific tests has identified nine students as possible slogan raisers which include Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya. The police also do not rule out the presence of outsiders who may have taken part in the sloganeering. These persons may be from Kashmir, the police also suspect.
