Class 12th girl raped in Delhi, accused arrested
A class 12th girl has been raped by her neighbour in Delhi. Delhi Police has said the accused has been arrested. The incident is said to have taken place on Monday in Delhi's Ranhaula area.

Recently, rape of an 8-month-old baby had shaken the national capital. Statistically, India does not report a higher number of rapes per capita than many other countries, such as the United States. But in recent years, several disturbing cases have drawn intense attention, in India and around the world.
In 2016, police received nearly 39,000 rape complaints, up 12.4 percent from the previous year.
In the same year, 19,765 cases of child rape were registered in India, an increase of 82 percent from the year before, according to the National Crime Records Bureau.
