Christians send memorandum to CM against Church vandalisation
Ghaziabad, Apr 22: In the wake of increasing attacks on churches, members of Christian Council of Uttar Pradesh today appealed the state government to ensure tight security of the community's educational institutes and religious places.
In their memorandum to the District Magistrate, which was addressed to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, members of the community raised grave concerns on the increasing attack on educational institutes and vandalisation of churches in the state, said Aasheesh Waldon, a member of the Christian Council.

"Not even a single miscreant involved in Agra incident has been arrested by police. Christians community is living under fear. The manner in which statues of Jesus and Mother Mary were broken by hoodlums is to provoke the Christians," Waldon said.
He demanded the government to take stringent measures to keep a check on such incidents. "Government must initiate stringent measures to check recurrence of such incidents in future," Waldon added.
