Chit Fund Scam: Sudipta Sen in CBI custody

kolkata, June 16: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) got the judicial custody of chairman and managing director of the ink-marked Sarada Group, Sudipta Sen, and five others, whch include Saradha director Debjani Mukherjee, MP Kunal Ghosh, Mr. Sen's associates Manoj Nagel, Anupam Dutta, and Arvind Chauhan.

The accused was produced in Alipore court for hearing on Monday. Apart from the this court, cases are also being heard in the city's Bankshall Court and Bidhannagar Court.

Even since the case has been taken up by the CBI, it has filed close to 46 cases in the chit fund scam under various provisions of the IPC. The main focus of the investigation is two letters by Mr Sen and Mr Ghosh.
