Chit fund scam: CBI conducts searches in TN, Odisha

New Delhi, Dec 21: CBI Monday, Dec 21 carried out searches across eight places in Odisha and Tamil Nadu in connection with its ongoing probe in the chit fund scam against a private company.

CBI sources said searches were conducted at residential premises of the directors of Rightmax Technotrade International Limited -- Rabindranath Jena, V Lakhanaya and R Venkatrama, among others.

The case relates to the company's operations in Odisha where hundreds of investors were allegedly duped by it.
