Chinese troops try intruding into Indian territory in Ladakh, attempt foiled
An attempt by Chinese soldiers to enter Indian territory along the banks of Pangong lake in Ladakh was foiled by Indian troops on Tuesday.
Two attempts were made by Chinese troops to intrude into Indian territory, both of which were thwarted by Indian soldiers, a PTI report said.
The Chinese soldiers then resorted to hurling stones at Indian soldiers which was retaliated, leaving some soldiers on both sides with minor injuries.
The incident comes at a time when both countries are already involved in a standoff at Doklam area near Sikkim for close to two months.
The intrusion attempts were made at Finger Four and Finger Five areas in Ladakh. Finger Four area is especially volatile as both sides claim it to be a part of their territory.
