According to the police, Mishra's motive behind the kidnapping was his desire to have a child of his own. The accused, who works in the accounts department of a store in Noida, did not have any previous criminal record.

Mother's Account of the Incident

The child's mother, who runs a beauty parlor in Jaitpur, reported the kidnapping to the police on Wednesday. She stated that her eight-year-old daughter had taken the toddler outside the parlor when a man on a motorcycle abducted him.
