Input Assistance of Rs 19,257 per Acre
Under the Krishak Unnati Yojana, paddy farmers in Chhattisgarh will receive input assistance at the rate of Rs 19,257 per acre. This assistance will be provided based on the paddy purchased from the farmers.
Fulfilling Pre-Assembly Poll Promise
The decision to implement the Krishak Unnati Yojana fulfills a pre-Assembly poll promise made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The scheme is specifically designed to benefit farmers in the state and contribute to their overall well-being.
State Investigation Agency (SIA) for Speedy Investigations
In another important decision, the Chhattisgarh cabinet has approved the establishment of a State Investigation Agency (SIA) to ensure speedy and effective investigation and prosecution in special cases related to terrorism and Left Wing Extremism in the state. The SIA will serve as the nodal agency for coordination with the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Creation of Separate Department of Good Governance and Convergence
Recognizing the need for efficient public service delivery, the cabinet has also decided to create a separate department of good governance and convergence. This department will be responsible for the successful implementation of public welfare policies, optimal utilization of resources, and prompt resolution of public grievances.
Chhattisgarh State Planning Commission Renamed
In line with the NITI Ayog at the national level, the Chhattisgarh State Planning Commission will be renamed as the State Niti Ayog Chhattisgarh. This change aims to enhance the state's planning and policy-making capabilities.
Chhattisgarh Economic Advisory Council and National Education Policy Implementation
The cabinet further approved the formation of the Chhattisgarh Economic Advisory Council to provide expert advice on economic matters. Additionally, the National Education Policy 2020 will be implemented in the Higher Education Department to bring about necessary reforms and advancements in the education sector.
