Chh'garh elections: BJP issues candidates list for 2nd phase

Raipur, Oct 29:

has a 90-member house, out of which BJP has announced names of candidates on October 20 for the 2-phased

scheduled on November 11 and 19. However, the names of candidates for Sitapur and Vaishalinagar segments are yet to be named. The poll results are scheduled to be issued on December 8.

The second list features deputy speaker of Chhattisgarh assembly Narayan Chandel in the list of 21 candidates announced by BJP on Sunda night for the second phase of polling to be held on November 19. Chandel will be re-nominated from the Janjgir-Champa constituency.

The other candidates in the second list include Champadevi Pavel from Bharatpur-Sonhat (ST) seat, Rajni Tripathi (Bhatgaon), Roshan Lal Aggarwal (Raigarh), Dr Jawahar Nayak (Kharsia), Shyamlal Maravi (Pali-Tanakhar-ST), Renuka Singh (Premnagar), Sameera Paikra (Marwahi-ST) , Kailash Sahu (Jaijaipur), Chunnilal Sahu (Khallari), Punam Chandrakar (Mahasamund), Shivratan Sharma (Bhatapara), Santosh Upadhyay (Rajim), Sharvan Markam (Sihawa-ST), Naveen Markande (Arang-SC), Inder Chopra (Dhamtari), Horilal Ravate (Dondi Lahara-ST), Ramsheela Sahu (Durg-Rural) , Avdhesh Chandel (Bemetara), ?Ram Chandravanshi (Pandariya - Moti) and Ashok Sahu (Kawardha).

The first list featured Raman Singh, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Speaker Dharamlal Kaushik along with 12 ministers of ruling BJP.
