Chhattisgarh Deadly Clash: 3 CRPF Jawans Martyred, 14 Injured In Fierce Gunbattle With Maoists
Three jawans were killed during an operation in Tekalgudem village along the border of Bijapur and Sukma districts in Chhattisgarh, where they were fired upon by Maoists, on Tuesday.
Fourteen others were injured in the incident.

A camp had been established by the security forces in the area to monitor Naxal activities, providing benefits to the locals as well. Upon setting up the camp, patrolling in the Jonaguda-Aliguda region was conducted by the forces, consisting of personnel from the CRPF's CoBRA, District Reserve Groups (DRGs), and Special Task Forces, when they came under fire from Maoists.

In the ensuing shootout, three jawans lost their lives, and 14 others sustained injuries. Retaliating against the Maoists, the security forces forced them to retreat into the forest. The injured personnel are being transported to Raipur for treatment, with helicopters being requisitioned for evacuation, as reported by PTI news agency, citing sources.
